Volunteering with NHRF
Have you ever wanted to be part of faire, but didn’t know where to start? Volunteering is a great way to be a part of the faire while meeting all sorts of people, making friends, and helping to raise money for some local charities. There are many volunteer opportunities available, before, during, and after our Faire event.

Important Details:
- The deadline for NEW volunteers to apply to the Security Team, First Aid, and Kids Area is April 18. A background check for these areas is required.
- The deadline for all other volunteers is May 5th. If it is after May 5th, please email nhrfvolunteers@gmail.com.
- All volunteers must be at least 18 years old unless they have a special, prearranged volunteer assignment or are volunteering WITH their parent or guardian who must also be a registered volunteer.
- All volunteers must be in faire-appropriate garb during the event. We have limited of loaner garb, but we can offer guidance on what you could wear. Let us know on your application if you need garb, or if you need some guidance on what to wear.
- We always need help for our work days! May 6 & 7; May 12, May 22, and before or after closing each faire. This is a fantastic way to help the faire if you have limited availability but still want to help the event.
- Lunch and snacks are provided during work parties and faire days.
- We have a group potluck party after hours on each Saturday of faire, that all volunteers are encouraged to attend.
- Descriptions of the roles are provided in the application but they include First Aid (for certified professionals only please), Family/Kids Tent, Information Booth, Ticket Booth, General, Security, and Hospitality.
