New Hampshire Renaissance Faire Receives Volunteer Champion Award!

We are proud to announce that the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire (NHRF) has received a 2026 Spirit of New Hampshire Volunteer Champion Award!

The awards ceremony, hosted by Volunteer NH, took place on Monday, October 26, at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, NH. Since 2003, the Spirit of New Hampshire Awards have recognized individuals, groups, and organizations that make a difference in their communities through volunteerism. The Volunteer Champion category recognizes organizations and programs that support and encourage volunteer efforts.

For NHRF, this award means a great deal to us! While the faire is all about bringing history, fantasy, entertainment, and education together for a fun-filled event, another very important part of what we do is giving back to our community.

Each year, we have around 75 volunteers helping us put on the faire. There’s a lot of work that goes into making NHRF happen, from setting everything up to running things during the event and cleaning up afterward. Thanks to all their hard work, along with the contributions of our performers, artisans, and the generosity of our patrons, we’re able to support charitable organizations such as the New Hampshire Food Bank and Meals on Wheels of Rockingham County.

This award is a wonderful recognition of those efforts, but more importantly, it’s a recognition of the people behind them. To all of our volunteers, past and present, THANK YOU! Whether you’ve helped with setup, worked behind the scenes, performed, or volunteered your time in any number of other ways, you’ve helped make NHRF what it is today.

We also want to thank our vendors, patrons, and everyone else who has supported the faire over the years. Without all of you, none of this would be possible! And of course, a big thank you to Volunteer NH for this wonderful honor and for recognizing the importance of volunteerism throughout New Hampshire.

We’re very proud of what we’ve accomplished over the years, and we hope to continue doing what we do for many more years to come. Having fun, bringing people together, and helping those in need!

Thank you, everyone, and congratulations to all who make the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire possible!
