One of the most rewarding parts of the New Hampshire Renaissance Faire comes after the gates close—when the team gets to deliver checks to the incredible organizations supported by the faire’s proceeds. Each drop-off is a powerful reminder that this community doesn’t just gather to celebrate, it gathers to give.
On August 5, my wife, Elisabeth Jefferson, and I, Andrew Jefferson, had the honor of presenting a check for over $69,000 to the New Hampshire Food Bank. We were warmly welcomed by Nancy Millett, who expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the organization. With food insecurity on the rise and government support decreasing, food banks across the country are struggling to meet growing demand. The NH Food Bank remains a vital resource for thousands of families in need, and we are proud to support their essential work.
On July 21, Bob Bean and Tori Cook delivered a check for $46,041 to Tim Diaz of Rockingham County Nutrition / Meals on Wheels. This funding helps provide daily meals and wellness check-ins for seniors who are homebound or living alone. Meals on Wheels is more than just a delivery service—it offers nourishment, safety, and human connection.
Then, on July 28, Marghi Bean and Tori Cook presented a check for $1,300 to Maddi Coons (Oncology Social Worker), Leanne Delillo (Business Director, Oncology), and Eileen McDonald (Senior Director of Oncology) at Exeter Hospital. The funds support the hospital’s Beyond the Rainbow program, which assists oncology patients with essential everyday expenses that arise during treatment—things like gas, groceries, and utility bills.
These donations are only possible because of the generosity of the faire’s attendees, vendors, performers, and volunteers. Every ticket purchased, every handmade item sold, and every moment of joy at the faire plays a part in lifting up our local community.
Thank you for being part of the magic—and the mission.
